- Technician checked the clutch operation, test drove the car and noticed the clutch pedal returning back too late, more noticeable at 5K and more RPM. Noticed the clutch engages late after you let your food of the pedal and car jerk very badly. Suspect the pressure plate returns back too late or the throw bearing sticking and jamming, need to remove the transmission and inspect the clutch components.
